Martie
Hi all, I’ve been trying to replace the crankshaft seal on the rear of the engine. The set I purchase has the metal/plastic seal and the horse shoe gasket. The gasket is fine but the oil seal won’t go in all all and looking at the old one the new one is a few 3-4 mm wider. Does anyone know if the diameter varies from engine to engine and I may have got a seal from a different engine? Thank you

Pete Lewis
when you say thicker its standing proud a little and not flush with the housing ........ thats not so unsual you go on to mention diameters, yes the can vary on other engines but all 2ltr are the same diameter seal Pn 143456 if the diameter is incorrect you have a wrong part Pete
Martie
Thanks Pete, no thickness isn’t an issue just the diameter. I’ve ordered another one today so hopefully will fit.
