SpitFire6
Hi, anybody tried to fit stag rear lights on a Spit1500? I think they would look very good with a clear lens. The clear lens would enhance the brightness of the rear lights. The Stag rear units are longer and the outside curve is different. The different cut-outs and screw holes are easy to sort, even for me. Thinking of buying a 3D printer to make an adaptor to allow. But, It's a while since I have used solid works. Cheers, Iain. Mjit
Just a thought but would getting the standard Spitfire lenses scanned/3D printed in transparent plastic be possible/easier?
SpitFire6
Hi Mjit, A belated reply. An interesting Idea. The first step is to find a 3D image of the lens. Free or cheap would determine if the second step begins? Cheers, Iain.
Mjit
No idea on cost but there are places that will 3D scan an original to generate the image.
