NevSpit
Pete, my mates obese parrot recently died after a long illness. He's obviously upset but admits it's a weight off his shoulder... Anyway, back to the thread... we made it to and back from Laon in the back up car, fantastic weekend. If you have never been do go (big thanks to Bern and Angie for keeping us all fed and watered) If it stops raining i'll drain the oil and test drive on Saturday. Then attack the gearbox filler plug on the other car which seems to have been done up by the proverbial gorilla.
NevSpit
Update... I drained off the old gearbox oil this morning, there was a good amount in there and it looked in good condition. I replaced it and took it around the estate in third dropping it in and out of OD regularly. I then took it out onto the main road and repeated the exercise in 4th before leaving it in 4th OD for a little while. No issues were seen so hopefully this will continue tomorrow when i take it out to a show. Thanks all. Paul.
