Gadgetman Posted July 17, 2015 Report Share Posted July 17, 2015 My Vitesse 1600 fuel gauge is over reading throughout the range ( shows 1/3 full when the tank is empty and off the scale at the top end when the tank is full. Chris A Posted July 18, 2015 Report Share Posted July 18, 2015 Hi Gadgetman I don’t have any specific help for you but thought my experience with a 13/60 might be of some help. The fuel gauge was accurate enough when I got the car but after a while the temperature sensor needed to be changed and at that point it was noted the fuel gauge was fed from a direct rather than a stabilised power supply. This model should have a stabilised source. The feed was changed and after that my gauge always read optimistic, reading just under ½ when it went onto reserve. I have reconnected the direct feed and the gauge seems to be back to its previous accuracy. Perhaps a lead for your problem?
