The exhaust tailpipe on my Vitesse back box measures 3.5cm in diameter - am I right in thinking this might be off a Herald 1360? If so would I be better fitting a semi sports back box or would it make little difference apart from the sound?

Looking to replace the instrument lights on my vitesse with LED versions from the club shop. Is this just a straight swap or do I need to do anything else? Some people mention adding relays but is this necessary?

Rob - did you remove the old metal guide first of all ? How did you hold the replacement in place?

I need to replace the passenger door window channel on my vitesse convertible - think Woolies might have something suitable but does anyone know what I need to ask for? Also, do I need to drill out the rivets holding the existing channel in place ?

So Dynax it is! Do i just remove any flaking underseal and then spray this on the bare metal?

A previous owner had the chassis on my vitesse undersealed and it looks like it’s done a pretty good job . There’s one or two places where the underseal had come away exposing the metal - I don’t want to strip it all off so am I better applying some new underseal to the exposed areas or would a spray of wax be better? Any recommendations for products?

I’m just about to replace my rocker cover with a spare that I’ve re-spayed to look a bit nicer. I’ve got a new cork gasket but I’m also thinking that a small amount of sealant might be a good idea to prevent any oil leaks. I’ve already got a tube of Loctite blue silicon gasket and a tube of CarPlan Gastite instant gasket - are either of those suitable? Thanks Robin

I need to bleed the brakes so plan to Jack the rear of the car so I can take both wheels off at the same time. Is it ok to use the rear cross member just behind the diff?

Just found that my brake master cylinder is leaking so have ordered a new one from Canley. Is there a particular order that the brakes should be bled?

Trying to find a carb link pipe - part number 517868. Canley's says it's no longer available and no one else seems to stock it. Any ideas where to find one?

Hi Pete - the CD150S are a spare set, not the ones you helped set up.

So if both carbs have different needles presumably this would make balancing them harder?

Pete - got the needle out as per your suggestion and interestingly it’s stamped 6AG. Wonder what different having two different needles would have made?

Sorry Pete - didn’t read you post properly. The needle in the second carb looks slightly bent so needs replacing.
