Well that’s annoying!

I got sent the wrong paint. All masked up and sitting outside ready for the final coats in several places and DOH!

It’s annoying. I practice in the garden on scrap and it’s ok, but as soon as I get out to the car I’m terrible again. I think it’s the different materials and odd joints. When I practice it’s on nice new metal. I’d love to do a little course, but I can’t find one.

The rest of the spots are going to be rubbed down treated filled undercoated with Rustoleum then sprayed triumph white. I only get the welder out when I really need too. For obvious reasons!

This just needs a final run down and the spray.

I thought I’d have another go at patching some rust. I’ve uncovered quite a lot.

I cut the square hole out from the outside. This is probably beyond my terrible welding skills.

I’ve got to have a go though I guess.

Fit's just as badly as the old one!

I did run it down before. There was a little rust spot that needed filling too. I forgot about the waiting a month. Glad I asked! 
Better do the rest of the car now.

I hope you're all well.
I've just picked up a door for £20 on eBay for Feargal. The other one is getting a bit shabby (See pictures)

I've rattle canned it in Cellulose and it's not too terrible. the cans were very dribbley and spitty!  What's a good next step? 1200 and then some polish?

The small spring on my gear knob had gone past the clip, which was still in the groove. 
I still have the old spring. If it does it again I’ll swap it out. 
Glad I didn’t pull the cover out to do it like I was going to!

its this smaller spring that you push down for reverse if its  clip is adrift the stick will stay low 

the groove in the stick wears , ive refettled one with a cutting disc on a dremmel type tool to deepen the groove
