  1. Hi All Today was Com meeting,I put forward that the Forum members would like all the old Couriers digitising with a search facility to make life easier for searching articles etc. It was voted through with a full house for and none against. The only problem is we are such a small team now we do not have time to do it so ANY volunteers to start the work email me or call me and I can start the ball rolling. Thanks Chris Tssc Chairman
  2. Glad you spoke to Hq ,holding stock is an issue so we try to order from bells who then do the sitting on stock. They are normally really good at quick delivery. All of the staff now help out in the shop so that's four people not one ,and are usually able to turn orders around the same day. Sorry for the delay Chris

  4. I suggest you call Tssc hq and chase your exhaust that is unacceptable waiting time unless Bells have had a problem ,but I haven't heard they have.
  5. I am reading this thread with great interest ,the Tssc are not stuck in the dark ages as far as technology is concerned the problem being the small team can only do so much at a time. Now we are aware of the conversation on here I will put it on the next agenda for Com and feed back asap. If any one has anything they want bringing up at a meeting please email gensec@Tssc.org.uk. Sorry John I have not received an email from you ? or I would of responded quicker. I am happy to call Wayne and see how the Tr reg do things but it will have to go on the list to do . Have we any volunteers to help ? Also for the record we are not honaries , we are members like the rest of the people on here ,the honuary members of the club are clearly stated on the inside page of the Courier. Cheers for now Chris
  6. The council of management have decided to increase the amount of people able to do agreed valuation insurance inspections for our club. After a training session all Area organisers will be able to do valuations should they so wish. The Com feel that this will be a great pull to an area meeting for local members. At £15 for a member and £25 for a non member, it is also excellent value for money to make sure your pride and joy is more than covered by insurance should you need to make a claim. Just over twenty area organisers went through a training session at Triumfest and are now able to do valuations. If you are an Area organiser either email me to arrange a training day or call me my contact details are all in the front of the Courier Thanks Chris
  7. Sorry for the slow response been on the Tssc five point tour all weekend enjoying the cars PLEASE can all Forum users be aware that Com do look and listen what goes on the Tssc Forum and will respond asap where necessary. As a club our official communication with fully paid up members will always be the Courier magazine as we still have lots of the membership without computers and tablets etc. I am on here most days and will try to answer what i can but somethings need to go back to Com for a decision ( we all have proper jobs as well ). In a world of choice communication is now so easy with Facebook ,Instagram, the Forum etc etc every one of these will have its lovers and haters ,as a Com we are trying to embrace all of them, the Tssc is about getting Triumph out to the wider world. The club shop is still open and doing well being run by the Hq staff ,Bernard has been answering technical questions every day for the last 30 plus years also we have fantastic register secretaries and of course all of you the membership so i don't think we will struggle for answers to our car troubles just ask, someone will know the answer. Moving forward both Hq staff and Com are looking at what works for the shop and what doesn't we would love to hear what you think would be positive moves forward for the club shop but please remember we are not out to take on the Triumph traders what they all do for our cars is priceless ,if we lose them we lose our cars as no spares means no repairs. Hope this answers some of the questions above in the feed ,things need to change we cannot sustain the same outgoings we had when we had 15,000 members, Please be assured that the Council of management are looking after the club for the future not just for today. Thanks Chris Tssc chairman for and on behalf of the council of management
  8. Please see official response from Com in Forum announcements
  9. As you are all aware the Tssc made a big loss in 2015 and the Council of management have been working very hard to try and turn this around . Last year 2016 we managed to bring the figures in at a five thousand pound profit , after speaking to the Accountants we reduced our stock figure by seven thousand pounds to a realistic level, This took the years figures into a two thousand pound loss a huge turn around from the previous year. The Com are voted in by the membership to run the club in a correct fashion and to make the right decisions to make sure the Tssc is in a good a financial place as it can be. In February 2017 the Com felt that we needed to put the club into a consultation period to look at in detail all the outgoings and incomings of the Tssc. The staff where told of this in the correct manner to adhere to these delicate processes. In the 1990s the club had 15,000 members now twenty years later the club has a steady 5,500 members but with the same overheads of the halcyon days . This cannot continue if we all want the club to survive into the future. Com have made the decisions and enforced the actions that we have cut the hours of one sub contractor and lost the other one entirely ,the club shop is no longer viable to have a full time shop manager this position has now been made redundant , our shop manager has been offered a part time hours position which has been declined. The club shop will be run by the rest of the team for a six month period whilst we look at ways of improving our on line capabilities as well as what is sold in the shop. All of these decisions have taken many hours of consultation with no knee jerk reactions. Should any one want to discuss this with me please in the first instance email at chairman@tssc.org.uk , The timing of the release of this news was first spoken about at the Agm last Sunday , we are now putting it up on the Forum as the official point of contact with the membership as well as it being in a future Courier. As you will all be aware this is a very sensitive issue to all the people that it affects and has only been done to protect the future of our great club . Yours sincerely on behalf of the council of management Chris Gunby
  10. Hi Kevin The area organiser guidance will be updated, I do not know if any other clubs are looking at going down this route with the Msa ,the Com need to do what is right for OUR club. We have put a lot of time into this decision and hopefully will make life easier for everyone.
  11. Clive has hit the nail on the head Msa club membership is less than £100 per annum So we are not doing it for the money It will make events easier to organise with Ao's and event organisers not having to get exemption certificates for everything they do . Our public liability insurance already covers static shows etc and as we no longer do motor sport events we as a commitee feel it is the right thing for the club. Should you organise a road trip your own car insurance will cover you. After extensive talks with our insurance company and the Msa this is the correct way to move the club forward. Personal Msa membership is avalible to any one wishing to take it up for less than £100 This also means that should we decide to go back into a race series etc that we can re join at the right time for the club . Hopefully John D Garth has answered your question about us being called the Tssc and that it is called the sports 6 from the American Vitesse name . Also this has been announced on the club forum before any where else as we have listened to your previous comments
  12. TheTssc will no longer be a member of the Msa Motor Sport Association from the 1st of March 2017 . This decision has been taken by the council of management as the Tssc no longer run a race series or do competitive track or road events as a club. Should anyone want to discuss the decision with me do not hesitate to contact me at Chairman@Tssc.org.uk Thanks Chris Gunby Tssc Chairman
