  1. Peter, what a great car, thanks for all the information as well 👍
  2. Badwolf always open to ideas for the Tssc shop what did you have in mind ?
  3. Hi All Com are constantly looking at insurance valuations as the market is always evolving, approximately three years ago we started putting the date of the last review on the bottom of the valuation sheet, last review Feb 2020 Some cars values change a lot others not have not changed a lot in years, it all depends on the market for that vehicle. Insurance valuations are to cover the vehicle in a total loss situation and are only a guide, vehicles can be valued over the guide price as well as under. Vehicle rarity and condition as well as originality or modification can all have a huge effect on value. I hope this helps Chris Tssc chairman
  4. Did’nt know you could still get them new Where from ?
  5. HI All would any one have a GT6 MK2 bonnet badge in good condition that they would like to sell ?
  6. Hi All Please be mindful that Tssc agreed valuations are for replacement value NOT retail value. The insurance guide price list in the Courier is as it says a guide, if cars are exceptional or unusual then these are taken on there own merit. The Tssc has a network of insurance valuers all across the country, i would expect anything that is in the opinion of one of our valuers in excess of our guide prices to be double checked with either Bernard at Tssc or by myself. Thanks Chris Gunby Tssc chairman
  7. Hi Everyone Thank you for bringing this to the forum that’s what a facility like this is for . The Tssc hq is currently closed as instructed by the government during Covid 19 lockdown, two of our staff are Furloughed and the other two are working shorter hours at home. We are trying our best to keep the club running as best we can during these difficult times, the April Courier was sent to print two weeks before the government lock down hence the confusion ,it is still possible to order on the Tssc website or by calling hq and getting transferred to the mobile phone but please be aware we are not dispatching as quickly as we normally do as no one is working at Tssc hq. All orders received in the last two weeks have been dispatched and should be with people if not already in the next couple of days, future orders will be dispatched at some point when someone goes into hq, this is only happening once a week . Please be mindful that the safety of our staff has to take priority normal service will be back as soon as possible Stay safe everyone and enjoy working on your cars Chris Gunby Tssc chairman
  8. Hi All The Tssc car insurance valuations are looked at every year, we make changes when we see the need to. we have just done this in Feb 2020 hence on the bottom of the current sheet it has this date, some times we don’t change the values depending on market value. It’s not done by percentages it’s all done by constantly viewing the market place etc Two years ago we started putting the date on the paperwork so that members could see they have the current version I am personally very unhappy with any Area organisers doing valuations at this time . I recommend that any one who needs a valuation they should send them into Bernard at Tssc hq until further notice please Hope this clarifies the situation Chris Gunby Tssc chairman
  9. Gentlemen, This started out a great thread but why on why do we have have to keep going back years and years things have CHANGED , The event that everyone said would never happen happened !! Any feedback is fantastic good or bad your Com see it , I am on here most days either signed in or not !! please don’t despair I know you all haven’t got pointy heads, The first joint event between the Tssc and the Tr reg was a lot of work for both clubs , we both do things so differently but managed to pull off a great weekend for everyone. we know some things worked better than others and will look at improving things moving forward , please keep the comments coming Chris Tssc Chairman
  10. About three years ago the Tssc Com opened insurance valuations up to let Area organisers do them after a formal trading process ( only half an hour ) Its more important that all the valuers are singing off the same valuations sheet, a simple process to go through all the sections on the valuation sheet and come out with a price from the current listing. Difficult or rare cars are often done through hq if the valuer needs a second opinion The best £15 you can spend on your car 😀
  11. Contact Sue Franklin Tssc Devon A/o she will know the owner

  20. TSSC Member Online Demographics Survey 2017 In order to direct our efforts as effectively as possible, it is important that the Club understands our members, the cars they drive and how they enjoy them. To assist in this process, we are launching our second annual survey. The questions are straightforward and not too enquiring, but they will help the Club in shaping the events, services and products that are most relevant to you, the members. As an added (Christmas) bonus, we are offering Five £20 Club Shop Vouchers to be selected at random from all responses received up to, and including 30th November 2017. Winners will be listed in the January 2018 Courier and notified directly. A summary of the results will be published in the New Year. Please take some time to respond to the survey. It should take no more than 10 minutes and will be greatly appreciated. To complete the survey, please enter the link below into your web browser or Click the Advert for this on the TSSC Website Home Page https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MXT3CN8

  22. Hi All, sorry not been on here this week it's been a bit mad ! Great to see all the offers of help ,does someone want to take the lead on this project ? Bernard is the man to speak to about all the Courier back catalogue and we can speak to Wayne from the TR reg no problem cheers Chris
  23. Hi all , A very very rusty Acclaim was donated to the club last week it's been sitting in a garage for 16 years untouched ,it is well past restoration but has lots of salvageable pieces . It is a complete car if any one would like anything from it you need to go to HQ and remove the bits yourself when HQ is open. Or if someone would like the whole car call Bern at HQ So rare these days it has plenty of bits to help keep other cars on the road I cannot tell you how rusty it is ! Thanks Chris
