The problem with mine is that somebody put a fast road cam in a autogear box car doesn’t idle very well so just want to return it back to standard

Was going to unbolt my wheel leave the boss and swop for the new one

Can I just unbolt the steering wheel and swop it for another thicker one as the spindle on my car is thinner than the wheel I want to swop it for they are both 2.5 steering wheels
-
just Seen one on eBay so I think it might bolt straight into the boss just need someone to confirm
thanks

Quick update cut the exhaust off underneath and wiggled it out now just have to get two studs out and a broken one then replace with parts supplied by Winn’s east grindstead very quick delivery highly recommended 👍🏻

Pete do I loosen or take the nuts off the inlet / exhaust to get the manifold off thanks
-
1 hour ago, Pete Lewis said:
if you replace the tuds or do as many do like rob suggested drill thro and use a bolt but always use proper brass nuts then they wont seize
like https://www.jamespaddock.co.uk/brass-nut-exhaust-downpipe-mk1-3 or similar
you can get the exhaust manifold off and leave the inlet and carbs in place
access to all nuts is a fiddle but its possible
Pete
Ok Pete thanks will do that I think will-let you know how it goes 😳
-
It’s the 3 bolts on bottom of manifold to first part of the down pipe .He heated them all up and the first one broke will have a look at the other two
just loosen them off in situ or take the carbs etc off ??
He said that it is a pain in the arse and don’t have enough time to sort these out as they are filled booked weeks and weeks ahead and only a small area for parking in the yard

Hi have a new exhaust being fitted but the nut/thread has sheared on one of the mountings so car was returned to me 😡
i need to get this apart then the downpioe can be replaced is there a easy way or carbs off ,exhaust manifold off with down pipe attached then drill out and replace with stainless bolts
thanks for any help guys

Not sure but think it might have a hole in it as can only smell it on the drivers side near the boot
-
Have a funny smell of petrol only on the drivers side near the back of the car think it might be the overflow pipe
Do I just change it or block /cap it instead also which pipe should I use and size
thanks Mark
