Felt like that up here the other day!

Oh yee of the fat finger brigade
try using the pinkie? Not so dexterous but a smaller surface area. Either that or file them to a point...That would be handy, flat blade and philips plus 1/2 and 7/16 spanners.......hang on.... I have a tool like that
Woops.... wrong site 😀

'Suppose I was lucky then. My 13/60 was also MoT'd. The chassis was very solid, as were the floors and all sills and panels.. . BUT..!! the gear change was diabolical! Needed new bushes and springs/circlips were shot (and fitted incorrectly), also the rear half axle roller bearing was shot and a butterfly screw was missing in the carb! What a nightmare to find that was why tickover was 1200!
Still.... they are not MoT fails

Thanks Colin.
I went in again to modify the list and once again got the message about too many characters.
I could not modify it though. Weird. I'll try on the PC tomorrow
Thank you to all my visitors you should get points for that.

😎 cool. Silly me. Having a weird evening thank you.

Thank you guys.
Kevin, there was definitely a little yellow box came up, saying only 255, I think, allowed and mine was over 600. Weird that ???
Doug, I don't think 33 is excessive in 53 years!! only one every 18+ months ! Mind, these last few years I have had 2 or 3 on the go at the same time. I kept the st205 wrc for over 17 years too! great car. Really miss it

Just noticed my list of previous cars in my profile has been 'lost' due to being too long
the system now tells me only 255? characters allowed and I had 600+ but I cannot re write it as the delete/space function is not working correctly (on my android phone.)
is it me or have the powers that be modified that section?
Edited to say
ohhh... just been back in and it all still there?...? Is it me?? Again

How do you disable the above?

Why is this in this section and not the electrical section where it would get more responses?
I think the OP has only been on here a couple of times and as he needed 'help' he has used the forum 'help' section, not realising it was for 'forum help' (and suggestions)
An easily made mistake for a newbie

I had a legal one for many years in the 80s, my austin maxi made a great ground plane. Cost a tenner for the licence! "Double Top" was my handle, I kept missing the treble on darts night

Breaker breaker... 10 4 good buddy, we got ourselves a convoy

I guess that reply is about Pets torque meter ?
40 odd quid from Amazon.
It will be my Xmas pressy from eldest daughter

Fixed it thanks, gentle thread file and a clean with a die got it started.
Then spent an hour gently sorting fan blades. Spins sweetly now. ...more spares for the box
oh oh ooh, one more post for a thousand !!!

I ordered a 7/16 UNF half, locking, nut, two in fact, cost £1.94 with free postage for the pair.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371571724857?var=640590041693
Doesn't fit
Thread all wrong.
So..... searched about and found prices for NT607041 varied from 49p to £1.02 BUT..... postage was between £5 and £10 !!!
Think I will wait until I need something else as I'm not paying that !!

I just confirmed that I have exactly the same as Shaun (prawnable) on my 1971 13/60.
The only fuse on the car is on the main beam 'flash' feed and YES, the side lights feed off this when the stalk is in the main beam position.
My instrument lights only come on after second 'click' pull on the master switch.
Hope that clarifies it

I don't know John but she is using the personal messages on here with a message saying F☆☆k me on here. Cab someone tell the Moderaters?

Hmmm. Velly intelestink... My seat back top goes that far rearwards it would be past the top anchor point !!??
Mind, my seat is a bit saggy
Never seen that configuration before.
If structurally sound, it alleviates the need for the 'angled' reels
oh, P.S.
that "throttle return spring" is novel !! I guess the stay bar and compression spring, at the other end of the spindle are foobared then??
If you need and pictures of my set up Colin, jus arsk

9/16 x28 unified...... or so an old post entitled "steering boss thread" from June 20 seems to say??

Attached to non-standard mounting points on the vertical panel at the front of the rear seat, Jeff - they rise up vertically behind the front seats
Interesting !!! any pictures of that?
Not that I have a problem with mine, just interested (when you have time... no rush )
