  1. Yes , there are a few things they have not been able to supply, but the prices are competitive and the service very good.
  2. Yet again fantastic service from Paddock's , place an order yesterday afternoon and it arrived this morning!
  3. Very sad news. My condolances to the family.
  4. Argh, you see the rods were in a box in the boot when I got the car, so I'm taking the wishbones off by the sounds of it. Thanks for the advice.
  5. I will be at the museum I hope on the 19th. The Vitesse is nowhere near ready so I will probably attend in my XJS.
  6. Thanks, I could have a problem here then as I have not disturbed the suspension wishbone at all but have the bonnet adjustment rod hanging on a hook on the garage wall !
  7. Thanks Gary, I beleive your not far from me? We live in Denby.
  8. In my kit of bits for putting my Vitesse together are two thick rods with a long adjustment nut in the middle. They are bonnet stays. Now does one end attach to the bonnet hinge assembly and the other to the cross member mounting near the front top wishbone fitting? Any advise on this would be appreciated, thanks.
  9. I cleaned the rocker arm up and I can see that the push rod has jumped off the ball and collided with the body of the rocker arm. This engine had been stood for some time I think.
  10. Is it fair to assume that if I've found a slightly bent push rod I've more than likely got a bent valve?
  11. Thank you. I think SAAB do it from the baulkhead.
  12. Now I know this sounds daft. But number one cylinder on my Jaguar is at the bulkhead (back of the engine). So, is number one cylinder on my Triumph Vitesse mk1 2 litre at the water pump end of the engine or the baulkhead end?
  13. Yes I bought one last summer. It was a GT6 cover now adapted and fitted to my Vitesse. Good quality and easy to work with.
  14. Thanks Colin, I am actually sorted now. The Liverpool one's look LHD as well.
  15. Could you use a D.T.I. with a prong down the spark plug hole to do this?
  16. Argh, yes I am understanding now. Thank you
  17. What's the piston stop used for?
  18. Good to know about fitting the gaskets dry, thanks.
