  1. Thanks, do you know roughly how long of a bolt i will need? I seem to remember it being quite a long one.
  2. Apologies i just realised i have a 25D instead of a 45D if that makes any difference. And thanks Chris i will take a look and see. Lovely motor you've got there by the way.
  3. My dizzy clamp is completely knackered - the bolt that fastens it is bent and cant be tightened or loosened. My only options are to saw off the bolt or remove the clamp/bracket entirely, which i think is the better idea. I cannot seem to find a replacement clamp on the rimmer bros catalogue, however i have found this one: Do we think this will fit a 13/60? My car is garaged far away so i wanted to check here before i purchased and then went over there to find it wouldnt! My dizzy is a 45D i believe, but its the positioning of the holding screw that concerns me
  4. how did this post become about washing machines and baboons 😂
  5. I'm thinking rather than going through the hassle/cost of stripping all the paint off and repainting, im just going to give them a good clean then apply a sh*t ton of auto wax to cover the seat. Hopefully this will stop the paint from coming through and sticking to my clothes.
  6. HMM seems like i should get some Vinylkote and redo the spray then. Did you use individual cans or a big can with a spray gun?
  7. I painted my Herald's seats with this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/402494704639?var=672692373721 I figured it would be fine since its for vinyl/leather. But when it gets a bit warm in the car, my clothes stick to the seat and parts of it come off and ruin the seat! How do i stop this? seal it? Can i use my wax spray or is there a better option? Thought i'd ask as i dont want to ruin it any further.
  8. Cheers for doing that Chris, yep looks like it just must be the old wiring so I’ll be getting to work on that.
  9. Right you are Pete, thankyou very much!
  10. Sorry i should have stated, it's a Triumph Herald 13/60
  11. Hmmm I don’t think so, atleast I’ve never come across one anywhere in the car.
  12. Does anyone know the best way to go about this? Can i swap the bulbs out for halogens or is that only possible with the headlamps?
  13. Hi everyone, so i fitted a new ignition barrel a while ago, however i have to reach under and hold it when i want to turn the key as it just rotates inside the dashboard. I've screwed the front and back rubber washer on tightly, but it just eventually comes loose. Any tips to keep it very solidly fixed in place? Cheers
