To Stevie - the person who reliably informed you to get MGB 535 is the source of your problem. Type 16 Calipers need MGB633 - same as on my Capri.

This is misleading and untrue. If they believe you have a chance of a "win" you may get legal assistance for free but the reason you would pay for legal cover on a motor policy is to cover you for the scenario where you NEED LEGAL cover, not someone to ensure you get compensation.

By coincidence, only last night I was bedding in some M1144s - not on my Spitfire, on my Capri. Still the same old burning smell during the bedding in process. Excellent brakes on both cars :-)

Yes it is lost. I'm afraid you're late to the party - many, me included, moaned about it at the time. But what's done is done - we should make the best of this new forum and appreciate the efforts of those who made it happen.
