Paul Amey Posted August 6, 2022 Report Posted August 6, 2022 The Rimmers web site lists two headlamp wiring looms for the Vitesse MK 1 . There is a choice between no pilot and with pilot. Am I right in assuming this refers to the main beam warning lamp ?
Colin Lindsay Posted August 6, 2022 Report Posted August 6, 2022 No, the pilot lamp is a small bulb inside the main unit - Triumphs never had them, so no pilot. You can see the small pilot bulb to the bottom of this light unit:
johny Posted August 6, 2022 Report Posted August 6, 2022 Rimmers do some replacement headlights for the Vitesse with a pilot bulb incorporated in the reflector so I assume to use this would need the alternative wiring loom....
Colin Lindsay Posted August 6, 2022 Report Posted August 6, 2022 You can connect them into the sidelight circuit, not much use otherwise.

Colin Lindsay Posted August 6, 2022 Report Posted August 6, 2022 The BAU2110 loom is one headlamp only, the other is the complete full and dipped beam light harness for both sides across the entire bonnet. No sidelamps nor indicators, going by the photograph.
johny Posted August 6, 2022 Report Posted August 6, 2022 You need to speak to them telling them the type of headlights you have fitted and what you want. However I would guess JPV575 is all the lights in the Vitesse bonnet and quite a nice modification as it reduces the number of connectors exposed to the elements there. Of course even better is the use of relays as used in the lighting upgrade kit offered by Rimmers...
