martyn wright Posted October 3, 2022 Report Posted October 3, 2022 Hi All! My (Late) 1600/6 has a manifold 307390 - V3015 with no connection for me to fit a Brake Servo! There is a Vitesse Manifold on EBay, 308671 - Which has this connection! Would this model Number fit my engine?
Pete Lewis Posted October 3, 2022 Report Posted October 3, 2022 thats for a gT6 MK2 the mk2 2ltr is completely different to 1600/Mk1 the porting is wildly different why not drill and tap you existing ??? i take it that being a late 1600 you have twin stombergs so thats the same manifold as the MK1 2 ltr used thats what i used when we converted from the solex
martyn wright Posted October 4, 2022 Author Report Posted October 4, 2022 Thanks Pete! I think I will drill it as easier than taking the manifold off and cheaper lol!
Pete Lewis Posted October 4, 2022 Report Posted October 4, 2022 yes a greased drill will catch much of the swarf , same with a tap keep well greased a vacuum to suck up any swarf also helps and any small particles will just get passed through the combustion process its not something to be overly worried about Pete
