Very strange roof, as the smooth-side roof didn't have that gutter. It appeared on ribbed models when the ribbed section was added. It looks like a ribbed roof that has been repaired with flat sections.

That eBay item is in METAL!

All the coupe roofs I've seen were in GRP, but no doubt an OE, factory fitted coupe would have had a metal one.

The top edge above the windscreen is in very poor condition, hence no doubt the price, but it might interest someone keen on originality.

If it's a real coupe roof. Which it looks like it is. No reason to believe otherwise. They were all metal. The early ones had smooth sides but apparently they had problems with the metal pressing. The sides would split or fold. So by making the sides panel separate that would solve the problem.

The other thing is it wouldn't fit a convertible herald or vitesse. My coupe roof would not fit my convertible

The difference I've spotted is that it has smooth sides, but the gutter from a ribbed roof. It may have been mended, or patched with smooth metal where that side panel is notorious for rusting, but it's a combination of two different types. Still good value, probably worth saving, but it's been worked on before.
