help needed

i really need help getting my spitfire back on the road got riped off my someone who said they could do it but he couldnt got new carbs for her need fitting reverse gear needs sorting and electrics the bloke who ripped ne off rewired my car but didnt connecked anything up properly i live in north norfolk really need help as hubby ill and just wants to see me drive the car again any reccommendation please as hubby been told he got 2 years max

Sorry to hear of your situation, I have similar. May I suggest, that you trawl the Archived postings? over the year`s others have had to engage the services of repairers who specialise. I do all mine myself, but I have access to an older mechanic with his own workshop locally, still working, with his own classics, who understands that older cars need different methods. I can not personally recomend any specialist. But from time to time on here ans other classic forums. folk do/have post about good/reliable operatives.

Best of luck with your researches. Sadly none of the solutions will be cheap. Labour being the the cost it is in todays climate.

You are welcome to go to TSSC meetings if you want, you don't have to be a member. I understand Norfolk have "roaming" meetings, I'm not sure where the next one is, but it will be on the 1st Thursday of the month.
