Thanks Pete, it's just that someone mentioned the outer pedestals have a washer on the outside and the inner pedestals have a washer on the inside. To me that sounds like only six spacers.

what is the purpose of the locating screw in the rear pedestal? Surely it won't move with the nuts tightened on to the locating studs? Mine still has some lateral movement with the screw tight.

its to protect wear on each  pedestal face so has one either side

dont get a mk2 rocker set that needs a lot of mods to make it fit

Pete

My Vitesse 6 had a horrid mash up of Mk1 and Mk2 rocker shaft components.

we got caught by one fits all crap , the mk1 pedestals are all about the same  the mk2 have  a pair of very differing

the mk2 shaft is longer so wont fit the rocker cover  the end caps need  replacing with a setscrew and washer

and so it goes on , swap all the pedestals over from the mk1 se up .

once stuck with a cock up you have to swap and fettle to get back on the road

she ran with this hotch pot for thousands of miles and presumably  still is  .
