Darren Groves
Could someone please confirm where the flasher unit on a Vitesse 2L MK1 should be mounted...... Thanks
trigolf
If I recall correctly, it mounts to the bulkhead on the l/h side above the voltage regulator for the dynamo
Darren Groves
If I recall correctly, it mounts to the bulkhead on the l/h side above the voltage regulator for the dynamo That's definitely correct for a Herald, but the Voltage Regulator is actually under the dash (behind the battery tray on the inside). Wires don't seem long enough to reach to the outside of the bulkhead.
trigolf
Yes, I recall it mounts on the inside of the bulkhead above the regulator ? It's only the overdrive Relay ( D type) that mounts next to battery on the engine side of bulkhead
Guest
Darren. It's the same as the Mk2 Vitesse, I believe. As such it bolts to the inside of the A panel near the voltage regulator box. There should be a manufacturers pre-drilled & threaded hole to take the flasher unit bolt - this then obviously earths the unit. If you can wait until tomorrow I'm happy to take a photo and load it on to the thread if required. Regards. Richard.
