dgarnold
Just bought my first-ever Vitesse which is a 1969 Mk 2 2 litre straight six with overdrive. My question is, is there a way to have an 'overdrive engaged' warning light on the dashboard? Has anyone done this and could offer advice, please? 68vitesse
Just need a live from the overdrive solenoid feed then an earth from the other side of the bulb. I sometimes forget to flick the switch when coming to a roundabout so go from second to third ovderdrive. There was a diagram published which used two relays to prevent this. Pete Lewis
The D type od relay is normally on the bulkhead by the battery you could collect a warning Lamp feed from here. If its got a j type theres no need for a relay. either the trigger line from the switch or the output to the solenoid if retro fitted the relay may be anywhere . pete
