Paul H
Instead of using a spring clamp I removed 2 studs and replaced with 3/8" UNF threaded rod studding bar - I purchased a 300mm section from Fleabay for about £6 and cut into 2 . Its then a case of releasing the spring tension with the 2 longer studs taking the load and reverse when reinstalling Hope this helps Paul .
