Colin Lindsay
I've been working on two Herald 1200 heads recently and have just noticed that on one, the water delivery tube appears to be completely missing. Does anyone know of a supplier / source for a replacement one? Secondly on the lower picture you can see gaps between the edge of the tube and the metal of the head; how concerned should I be about water / pressure escaping round this? Should I fill them in with chemical metal before fitting the pump housing?
Pete Lewis
my view is ..no worries Colin they are often a rattling good fit, that small gap wont affect anything, its a poor mans deflector to just help distribute the coolant down the depth of the head, and feed it around the cylinder casting so sleep easy Pete
