vitesse driver
I am in the process of overhauling a pair of Zenith Strombergs from a 1971 (mk2) Triumph Vitesse. I have removed the 6 screws that hild the float chamber in place but it is stuck solid. It’s not the gasket holding it in place. Any tips on how to remove it? vitesse driver
Thanks. Do I need to remove the brass nut on the underside? When I try to the float chamber moves with it but it will only turn a couple of mm.
NonMember
No, the brass nut passes through the lower chamber with an O-ring. That's probably stuck, so it may be that trying to undo the nut will help release the O-ring.
