aggie
I am on the point of refitting the windscreen to my Mk 1 Spitfire. Do I need to use any sealant between the bottom seal and bodywork or is it fitted dry ?
NonMember
I think I used some non-hardening sealant, as you would for the glass rubber seal.
Pete Lewis
I would use some sealer for frame to body same as for sealing the glass Dry seal rubbers have a cut out /relief /drain in the flips to let any water out most unlikey never fitted by triumph Simplest stuff to use for any glasz to rubber and rubber to apperture is the cheap black bostic gutter sealant in a cartridge from any diy store, Pipe it in before youmfit the mylar insert , wipe any excess off with just white spirit, This is the type of stuff used by triumph ..and most manufactures of the period Warm the cartridge to makemit flow easy Pete
