Prince Brainier of Meccano
Is there an easy answer to this perennial problem? In a Morris I had I went to all the trouble of running a fat wire to the back and sterilizing the screen, adding the aluminium foil and wiring it up; and it fell of within a week. Using the same wiring I bought a small window de froster intended to rest on a dash for cars that take a while to warm up. I put this on the rear parcel shelf with some success. Wondering about a 12v hair dryer in a similar position?
NonMember
My first Vitesse had a rear screen demister made with fine wires embedded in the glass - almost invisible, like the modern Ford front screen demisters. It worked really well, once I realised it was there and that's what the mystery switch under the dash was.
steveweblin
You can get stick on heated rear window panels.
Colin Lindsay
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ceramic-Car-Heater-Fan-Plug-in-12v-Cigarette-Lighter-Socket-Defrost-Windscreen/143411723166?epid=21035409209&hash=item2164013b9e:g:1Y0AAOSwffRdpVMU Avoid these things; they cost from £7 upwards and you'd have better results breathing on the glass. You can still find these for sale occasionally, but then we're back to stringing a cable to the rear window:
