Peter Truman
I’m just rebuilding a pair of Sprint 1.75in HS6 carbs and the two countersunk screws that hold the butterfly to the shaft appear from HS6 pics to be put in from the front of the carb whereas the HS4 and 2 appear to be put in from the rear. Is there any reason why they are put in from the front on the Sprint, the shaft has no specific orientation the threaded end rebates are on the same orientation as the butterfly, on the replacement shafts supplied. Pete Lewis
the only thing to decide this is the shaft .it depends which way round that fits as to what side the countersink is its not important the disc orientation is the important bit Pete
Peter Truman
Thanks Pete I thought shaft orientation was the only reason and the shaft all looks mirror imaged so will leave
