Hi Richard - My manifold on my Vitesse Mk2 doesnt have the coolant pipe as you described - Not sure what it came off - The carbs are CDSE's

Just fitted new water pump - what lubrication does it need and best way to apply - There is a lube hole though no thread for a grease nipple - any help appreciated

I will clean up the corrosion to see the extent though will probably purchase a new one just to be safe - many thanks for the tips , very much appreciated - NB I did check the nuts on the lower Wishbone through bolts and all fine - thanks again

No just LHS - Just purchased the Vitesse MK2 and looks like with the rebuild the previous owner got fed up and restored one side and just refitted the other side with original fittings - same applied to brake calipers - Ill post a pic of the new vertical link alongside exist good link for a second opinion - New trunnions & bushes going on Regards

VItesse mk2 Where's the best place to buy ?

Sorry a newbie ? The inner lights are sealed beam , the outers are Halogens with side light bulb - The side light bulb is not connected . Do I need to fit a relay for these outer Halogens ? The pic is one of the outers - Is this the whole bulb or does it break down further Thanks in advance

Can't use footwell as passenger footwell has a box section which can be used for books , CDs etc . So rear parcel shelf is the preferred solution . On checking I noticed the metal retainers , what are they for ?

Just purchased a vitesse mk2 1969 saloon . There is a stereo system fitted in the glove compartment and plan to keep. The problem are the speakers which are currently fitted across the rear seat storage units and look awful Where should the speakers be fitted and which speakers are considered suitable Thanks in advance

Thanks for heads up re the TSSC shop , just rang and they do offer a recore service at £160 ( not sure if this includes redelivery ) This is the cheapest Ive found even with delivery to them . I did find Honda Civic alloy radiators at £62 deld on Ebay but the side brackets would need fabricating in ally and tig welded which I cant do . Incidently next best price was £210 which includes collection and redelivery - this is for a Vitesse 2 litre - Thanks again - I incorrectly assumed the catalog was all they did

Thanks for input and the driving in 4th on a motorway makes sense so looks like overdrive is the way forward.

Found the page using my iPad , no issues Many thanks It's decision time or have I got enough cash . I can change a gearbox though might have to farm out overdrive conversion

Hi just purchased a 1969 Vitesse Saloon MK 2 no overdrive One of the known issues is a noisy gearbox - In general terms is replacing with overdrive worth the extra cost ? What would be a comfortable cruising speed with a replacement non overdrive gearbox ? What would be a comfortable cruising speed with a replacement overdrive gearbox ? Thanks in advance for any input
