Appreciate the idea JohnD but have to disagree at the moment. Yes - many of our members would and could access an online magazine, but we have to remember that the Club must cater for all its members, and there are still a substantial number who do not use the internet. As an AO, I know I have a considerable number of members who do not use email and we must assume that they would not be able to access an online copy. For my part - I welcome the chance to get away from a screen and pick up the Courier which is always a good read.
We are members of other small and local clubs, a couple of whose magazines we do get online. They have neither the content or the size of the Courier and another point is that many of us struggle with big downloads (yes we are in rural Devon with a max speed of 1.5MG on a good day). I find that, although I regularly read the online versions, my husband rarely does and I think that may be the case in a lot of households.
Apart from that, the Courier is a powerful marketing tool for us at events and I would be loathe to see it turn into online only.
