  1. Thanks very much for the feedback all. I think I’ll start saving for stainless or put them at the top of my Xmas pres list :) Car is regularly driven so the last thing I want is for re-chromes to start pitting.
  2. Rather than re-chroming I’m considering whether to instead replace the old pitted chrome bumpers on my Gt6 mk3 with a stainless steel set from Harrington Group. Has anyone switched to stainless and if so what do you think of the finish/quality? Do they easily fit to the existing mounting points? Thanks.
  3. Hi all, just as a quick update it turned out that the water pump was failing. When I applied the thread sealant water started escaping out of the weep hole instead of the stud. New pump has now covered 1300 miles inc LM classic and back with no leaks! Thanks again for the advice ?
  4. Thanks both for your replies. I’ve ordered some sealerso I’ll give that a try first before looking at changing the pump again. We’re driving it to the LM classic this year so don’t want it dribbling water!
  5. Hi all, I’ve got a similar query to the OP. Ive just noticed a slight leak around the bottom bolt on my water pump (Gt6 mk3). There is no sign of any coolant leaking through the weep hole (which happened with the last 2 short lived water pumps that have been on the car!) Is the pump going to need replacing or is this more likely to be a problem with the fixing itself? The bolt is tight already so I’m not sure whether I’d need to use some sealant around it? Many thanks! Ant
  6. Thanks Angelfire/Gully. Managed to get them fitted flush to valances and they are working well.
  7. Hi, I’m fitting one of the tssc ram kits to my Gt6 mk3 and I’ve got a couple of questions: 1. I cannot get the bottom brackets to sit flush with the 1/4 valances. There is an 8mm gap even though the brackets are mounted on the chassis as per the photos in the instructions. Has any one else had this problem/got any suggestions. I’ve attached a photo - I’ve currently fitted spacers but the gap is not ideal. 2. The rams need compressing by about 3.5.cm to fit the upper mount. I’ll get a ratchet strap to do this because I couldn’t get anywhere near that compression using a wooden block! But I’m just wondering whether them being constantly under load when the bonnet is open will put strain on the hinges. has anyone had any problems? Thanks, Ant
