  1. I’ve retired for the day. I’ll get in deeper next time. It’ll be a while as I’m away for a month. Shame I’m so close to everything working!

very pleased with the flashers now though. No idea why they were disconnected.

I’ll let you know when I get that tunnel off.

i think I’m probably going to install hatches for the drive and oil level. I heard thus was a thing worth doing.

  2. Well it was brilliant.

Really well organised. Lots of marshals and signs. loads of interesting cars and bikes too.

The pubs were well prepared and had outdoor bars and BBQ and you could get a shandy straight away.

    Definitely recommended.

The only downside was the heat. Next time i'll bring a table and umbrella! very little shade.

One common place is the split where the wires  (yes your after the red ones  from the column are all snap connector to the main harness

    Under the steering column

Some have an inline fuse hidden for the side lights

And the wires up the boot lid should not affecf the rear tail light , the number plate just join  to the main tail supply

With a double snap connector  in the red supply to your  tail lamps .

Ok fab. I think i know which one it should be.

I'll see if i can follow it back. Bloody petrol tank and some 'remedial patch up work' i did with fibreglass filler might be covering it now.

  4. My mother followed me part of the way to Wales and she told me my tail lights aren't working,

I found that a couple of the wires in the back had worn out and had fused together! I split them up and wired them back into where they should be going and still no joy. I have a reverse light that still works and the red wires in the photo go to the tail lights and number plate light.

I assume somewhere there is a live wire from the front side lights that needs to connect to the rear ones.
Dammed if i can find it. It's a bit of a mess back there!

The cats not helping as always!

The chap who established Classics on the Common decided a few years ago it had become too large and stepped down, then establishing Classics in the Walled Garden at Luton Hoo, which is a great evening. Sadly, this clashed with something else I had planned this year so I missed out, but that evening has a lovely atmosphere and no traffic issues!

    Oooo it's posh there!
