Hi Dave, having a rolling road tune will determine what is wrong.... But it is only as good as its operator. I know from when i was rallying Fords back in the 70's, having the car set up made a fantastic difference. And yes it will determine carb / dizzy wear along with anything else that happens to be amiss. What car do you have? I cant remember from ct.

I will 3rd that. There are loads of these little people about, it's just knowing where to find them and spread the word as Richard has done.

Just wondering if its something simple, like the points gap being to wide? Best just use light throttle on the way home.

Got to agree with the thescrapman there.......

Have you tried swopping 1 and 4 leads around? At the cap is easier.

Great stuff

You could try this stuff, Classic bikers use it, and i have it on my ride on mower and have had no problems. Also it does not seem to go hard like the old re-enforced stuff.

On the down side, you cant see what is going with fuel like you can with the cheapo. I suppose you could fit both, with the cheapo after the good one

Have you spelt his surname right Doug? Should there not be an "S" in there at some point

I think my friend is planning on having a slightly raised edge - so the "ramp" is slightly below ground - if that makes sense so there isn't a clearance issue - he has about 2 metro's (One a cabriolet - one of only a handful in the UK left) and a Midas kit car (Metro based) as well as 3 other cars that are on the road - which he uses for work.
That makes sense, Metro's have better area's to jack on as well

A friend of mine is getting a small lift Christmas time - about a grand or so and lifts the car up about 1000mm or so. Still not sure how it would work on a small Triumph though!
I've found this one https://www.cjautos.eu/product_p/cl02.htm
A pal of mine has got one these that he uses on his GT6. Only down fall is, that it wont go under unless he jacks the car up first, back and front to put it on blocks....... Then he slides it under. He only use's it for bigger jobs as it is such a pain in the bum to get it under and positioned. He had to make the blocks with wheel chocks as well so it would not roll off them.
