  2. Mine is a slide away made in Birmingham I contacted the guy you owned it and between us we managed to get the roof out and redux the screws to handle that locks the roof shut so hope fully now sorted thanks again for all the help

Hi have a triumph 2000 with a full length sunroof fitted went to open it today and the handle came off in my hand I can see the 3 screws that fit into the handle but not sure how to access them ?? Many help greatly appreciated not sure what make it is ?? The handle turns and locks the roof tight
  4. Was talking to my mechanic mate and he said that he had a old Saab that hadn’t been on the road for about 15-20 years had the same mine hasn’t been on the road for about the same hopefully all sorted will let you all know
  5. Have a good look in the tank today used my mates snap on scope looks like all the crud is out some light dusting to top of tank so will put back in and try again thanks for all the suggestions and help from everybody
  6. I’ll try tomorrow suppose you leave the tablets and boiling water in there for a few hours then jet wash it ?? how many tablets do you put in ?? Thanks Peter
  7. It crumbles very easily on your fingers shine my iPhone torch in the filler neck looks quite clean maybe some left in the bottom was going to try water based degreaser and boiling water and leave it to soak ??
  8. Just taken picture of the loose bits had a quick look in the tank might be some more in there could I use a degreaser and boiling water to clean it out maybe ??

  11. Don’t think the loose stuff is rust is ole dried out petrol
  12. Yes it’s a vertical tank the black bits when they crumble they are brown probably old petrol .The kit just cleaned it it doesn’t line it

Hi have got my car running after many many years of not working have problems with the petrol supply took the tank out used Bilt Harmer tank kit cleaned it reinstalled it and kept blocking from the tank have taken it out again put some petrol in it shook it and more what looks like dried fuel came out black bits that crumble in your fingers Now I’m not sure whether to try it again and see what happens ??? or jet wash the inside as best as I can ??? Driving me round the bend as not sure when it’s gonna happen again middle of a country road or on the duel carriage way !!!!!!!! thanks Mark

Emailed Chris Whittor as I have seen a second hand stainless steel complete exhaust for a auto and he told me that mine was 1 5/8” ?? then I asked if I needed to change the exhaust manifold he said they were the same ?? so I am a bit confused 🤷‍♂️ will try and measure across the pipe on mine and see ???   18. Hi I have a 1973 2000 mk2 which I have been told the bore is 1 5/8” I am looking to fit a stainless steel system but the ones I was looking at are 1 7/8” can this just be bolt straight on or are there any changes to be done ???? thanks Mark
  19. All sorted there is a brass elbow out of the bottom of the tank that unscrews Took the tank out cleaned it with a Bilt garner kit then reinstalled it but put some PTFE tape round the thread when I reinstalled the pipe all sorted

  21. Sorry Pete I meant the pipe at the bottom of the tank with the bend in it that feeds the carbs
  22. Hi I am taking my tank out to clean out all the old crud and fuel out question is on the bottom where the drain pipe is is there a seal to renew ???
