  1. I thought about spacers but I think new springs will have the same affect, hopefully.
  2. Just ordered some new front springs as the wheel arches are catching the front tyres. A combination of lowered front springs and non-standard wheels.
  3. Still having fun in the sun, full service including gearbox and overdrive oil, tappets reset etc:
  4. Anyone own this car on the forum or in the club? A friend of mine owned it and I have some history to give to the owner. It looks like it has been SORN'd since 2004 so hoping it is either being restored (again) or sitting in a garage somehwere, lovely car with cosmic alloys and a tan interior. Thanks
  5. Anyway, the car is back on the road in between thunder storms.
  6. Had some fun with the starter, sent it off for a full refurb with Powerlite, superb service, quick turnaround and back on the car within the week. Not straightforward as I have a Dolomite 1500 flywheel fitted to my engine which needs the pre-engaged starter and I didn't fancy removing the engine to replace the flywheel. Long story but the stupid type of thing you do to keep the car on the road when it is your only transport back in the early 90s
  7. It's just not worth taking the risk, keep it safe.
  8. Honestly I wouldn't go near this without an airfed mask and appropriate filters or just use cellulose. You only have one set of lungs.
  9. Will be test driving this weekend, still rubbing down and polishing but I can do that while I use the car Only two tyres fitted as they forgot the other two old tyres are newer than I thought so will test drive and drive the car to the tyre fitters.
  10. New Yokos being fitted this week along with tracking all done at home, still flatting back but almost finished then time to test drive.
  11. I've just purchased a bag press to recover lots of my bits (have a TR4A to do as well). Hoping this will give an even finish.
