Adrianb
Hi all, I am just about to start replacing all the brake pipes front to back on the 13/60 convertible that had been neglected in a field since 1995, so I recon I will have to replace all the unions although I will treat each with due respect and try and save each one in turn. From your experience do you have a preference on where best to source these unions and should I just replace all of them,I have a feeling that might be the case! Colin Lindsay
I'd just replace them all, you'll be removing them anyway. I bought mine from James Paddock. https://www.jamespaddock.co.uk/brass-union-female-38-unfhu1a Are you making up your own pipes? Consider kunifer rather than copper; slightly less forgiving and harder to bend but lasts longer.
Clive
Just buy all new, no advantage at all in re-using (unless you run out!) Never had a bad union, I tend to buy them from Beales https://www.beal.org.uk/brake-pipe-nuts.html and they are well priced on kunifer pipe too. And lots of other stuff (great for bags of nuts etc, but easy to carried away)
Adrianb
Many thanks noted, that’s sorted for Father’s Day prezzies! New unions!
