1969Mk3Spitfire
I've just observed that one of my pushrods has a bend. Trying to straighten it is not my first preference. Does anyone have a single spare for sale?
NonMember
I have a few spare pushrods but it depends whether they're the right length - there are three lengths, I think

I don’t know how it’s measured but I put a welding rod though the head until it rested upon the tappet and it measured approx 193mm to the rockers. NonMember
My spare ones are not fitted to an engine, so any measurement of the engine isn't helpful. Total length of the pushrod, from the tip of the ball at the bottom to the rim of the cup at the top, is what I can easily compare.

I used the welding rod alongside the pushrod to measure its overall length of 193mm.
Colin Lindsay
Part number 111874, same as Heralds and all Spitfires bar the 1500. Should be very common; Paddocks have them at around £3 each. I nipped out and measured some of mine, they're about 197mm so if yours has bent enough to lose 4mm, that's quite a lot.
NonMember
The missing 4mm could be measurement error due to the method used. The welding rod would have stopped against the back of the ball, not level with the tip. The ones I have spare are part no. 129058 from a Mk1 Vitesse, so probably no good. 1969Mk3Spitfire
Many thanks to you both, I was not aware that they are fairly readily available. I will purchase one online. I also assume that the missing 4 mm is a consequence of my method of measurement.
