alan.gilbert_6384
Hi All, So I am thinking of fitting gas struts to the bonnet (given the amount of times I need to open the blooming thing, oh the joys of a classic). I know they need to be 640mm long, but does anyone know the force required ie 600N ??? If anyone else has them fitted, it may be printed on the strut, thanks very much

alan.gilbert_6384
Cheers Roger, seems the jury is out on the force, (bit like KFC recipe), they want everyone to pay extortionate prices for 12 pound struts The USA sites seem to say 275 nm ( converted from real measurements ie Lb) but UK sites have reference to 350 nm
rogerguzzi
Hello Alan I will have another look tomorrow at the other one just to check the numbers. You could email the manufacturer and quote all the numbers and ask what the pressure is? Roger
