trigolf
38-42 according to my manual. It's quite low compared to modern cars, but the standard size studs are much smaller than modern's bolts.

I wondered if I’d made a mistake so your confirmation has put my mind at ease.👍

That sounds like a sensible thing to put on my list. Looks like more investigation is required 🤔

Pete Lewis
as for fitting larger dia studs there are a couple of simple things that may cause a headache whether you go for triumph 7/16unf or any 12mm metric on the fronts you need to remove the brake disc and watch out that the forged head does not pitch on the machined diameter of the hub this can pitch the stud a simple blast with a file to relief the head where the stud head catches the hub rear hubs two options often you can fiddle the longer stud in with the brake shoes removed or use a hole saw to allow fitment through the back plate you can grommet the hole or not if you dont like holes !! but you should never let mr gorilla strip them ever again you dont have to modify the wheels the studs and new nuts will fit std wheels ok Pete Edited April 28, 2023 by Pete Lewis
