Loudkraken470
hello gents i have unfortunately spotted an Oil leak from the gearbox and i am certain it is originating from the speedo drive pinion well not the pinion itself but the sort of casing that goes around it that has an O-ring i assume this has perished and needs replacing but i cannot seem to fit a socket or spanner on the retaining bolt see diagram number 506071 if anyone knows a good trick to take the bolt off because i cant seem to get a spanner or socket onto it due to the low clearance from the rest of the overdrive casing and the dodgy angle the spanner is forced to because of the floor pan if anyone knows itd be greatly appreciated
Pete Lewis
have you got one of these swivel head spanners can be useful when the angles are fighting cant remember if you need 7/16 or 1/2 af eg there is also a spindle oil seal you should change as well as the O ring Pete Edited May 2, 2023 by Pete Lewis
