small end bearing removal

Hi all, anyone got any tips on removing small end bearings from the conrods?, I haven't tried anything as yet, but I seem to remember something in the past about putting them in the freezer?. Any advice greatly appreciated.

bucket of hot water was one method as piston and rod will expand with heat,  

   old school experiments  come to mind  , holes expand more than shafts   !!!!

If you put your finger on it i think we're breaking the rules

 

so we dont drift into the usual banter they used tomdemo this with a ball sitting in a ring

the when its all heated the ring expands linearly and more than the ball so the ball drops throuh the hole in the ring

Think this is getting worse
