Think you need to check the fuse box, the caps on the fuses are used to feed circuits from either side of the fuse cap if one of the terminal clips is a loose fit or corroded you loose certain circuits

nothing to do with the fuse the fuse cap bridges the terminals

The stabiliser only feeds the fuel and temperature gauges. The fuse box is one of Triumph's poorer engineering designs. Just to repeat what Pete said, the upper and lower part of the fuse clips are not connected to one another until you push the fuse in. So you can get the situation where one end of the fuse is held but at the other end only the upper or lower part of the clip connects. This gives all sorts of peculiar electrical problems. Take the fuses out clean up the contacts, squeeze them together and put the fuses back.

i had the same issue on spit 1500 and found the problem was at the fuse box, a good tug on wires on the back of the box and they came back to life. Hence i'll be rewiring it. It comes and goes dependant on bumps in the road, cornering and how it feels at that moment in time
