Adrian
Hi all, probably another t-shirt question. What light components should I have? When I stripped them down I had the full light bowl and the beam unit and a rubber seal on one. Obviously I need a set of seals but do I need the half bowl? Clive
I would just reuse the old ones. May be worth checking the adjusters are OK, but they are available and not (or at least were not) expensive.
Guest
Hello Adrian. If you have the bowls out it will be worth rubbing them down and treat with Hammerite or better still POR15 if you have any. They are exposed so any assistance with protection will be very beneficial. Some owners use plastic bowls BUT they are considerably thicker than their metal counterparts and in some cases has caused issues with refitting certain elements of the headlight assembly - usually any chrome sections that would have originally fitted flush. Regards. Richard.
Adrian
They are out and nasty under seal removed. No rust nearly all black still on. No more por15 rust paint but engine enamel, tie coat primer and topcoat still in cans. Was thinking a coat wouldn’t hurt!
