Gadgetman
I've just got hold of a 1600 engine that was a Stanpart Exchange Unit, from the engine number on the exchange plate is there any way to work out what year (approx) this was rebuilt? Engine number is HB 101 FR ???? The original number has been made illegible.
Pete Lewis
Probably best to ask british motor heritage at gaydon archive cemtre if they have a track record book for exchange engines Pete
