Piston orientation

The triumph manuals all suggest there is a imprinted arror to show front , not much other detail  very helpful

Good old autobooks does show the split skirt as being on the same side as the offset bearing cap

to fit gudgeon pins   put piston in bucket of hot water pin  should enter with finger pressure  unless they have pressed in pins then  more load is required 

Do make sure any  circlips are really fully   seated
