Does oil deteriorate with age?

Hi, I've unearthed some oil that's 25 years old. Some unopened some opened. Would it be safe to use or should it go for disposal?

as its not contaminated its fine to use providing its the correct specification 

even opened but re sealed it will be OK , oils age as the contamination increases , the base oil is always fine if you could remove the waste dissolved in it you could go on for ever .. well a long time , 

if its still clear/ coloured as original   and got a shine i would use it

It might be said that as it comes from dinosaurs, 25 years on the shelf is an insignificant wait before use!
