D type overdrive drive flange leak

Hi all, I’ve managed to acquire another leak from the drive flange on my d type overdrive unit, does anyone know if a drive flange off a standard gearbox is the same?

part number is different at least for a spit mk4 box

No its quite different ,

Guess youre after 146102

Is  the old one worn  on the  seal diameter   so dont knock the new seal in so far , let it run on a new part .

Hi all, being lazy and wanting to enjoy my car over the summer, I’ve not replaced the rear overdrive seal yet, but the smell of burning transmission oil on my exhaust has stopped. Should I be worried that I now have no oil in my gearbox, or is the level beneath the seal acceptable. I think I know the answer, just hoping you will all say it will be fine 🙏

make sure its not from the plugs underside , 

Im sure it will be fine till it seizes up....what can one say !!!!

or connect a hose from the OD breather to the manifold vacuum   ...  wont run well but no leaks    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
