What size fuse??

Morning all.

Any Sparks on here to advise...??

I have fitted a 10 blade fuse box on the Spitfire 1500 and wired the cigar (!) lighter into a fuse on its own.

What size fuse should I use here? I have for the moment stuck a 25A in but bearing in mind I'll probably not use it to light cigars - just accesories occasionally - is 25 too high?

I’m no expert and I fitted a10amp in mine

A fuse is to protect the wiring not the item connected, so I would fit a fuse just under the rating of the cable used.

Just my opinion.

They were never called cigarette lighter, always cigar lighter.
