Paul H
Just realised both rear over riders have the bottom securing bolt missing on my Vitesse . How easy is it to remedy Paul
Guest
Hello Paul, Oddly enough I was having this same conversation with Clive and another friend yesterday. Neither of my rear overriders have the lower bar with the captive nut; albeit the top mounting is fine. As such it is only secured at the top and I am contemplating making a lower bar to secure accordingly. Hopefully you are just missing the bolt !! Best wishes. Richard. Colin Lindsay
Passenger side is in behind the fuel tank so hard to reach; the other side is much easier. It can be a bit of a faff to get the threads to bite so many members replace the bolt with a length of threaded bar, so that there's only a nut on the inside and you can attach it to the overrider first then slot it through the tube. Don't forget to replace the earth connection for the lights!

Paul 3/8 UNF, the original length is 5.5 inches so leave a little bit longer for sufficient threads for the nut.
