gt6 wishbones onto Spitfire?

Do the wishbones and associated gubbins (hubs, discs, suspension) of any version of the GT6's go straight onto a spitfire 1500?

Do the type 14 calipers fit?

Wishbones, shock absorber, ball joints and trunnions are the same, nothing else is quite the same. Also spring from a GT6 will be stiffer and won't suit a Spitfire.

It's a popular upgrade to fit GT6 uprights and brakes onto a Spitfire as the brakes are bigger (Girling Type 16) and the wheel bearings are beefier. You can't use Type 14s on GT6 uprights as the spacing on the upright is different and the disc is thicker.

Yup, nothing is interchangeable other than WBs, SA and Ts

As the guys say: those will fit, and you'll get away with Spitfire springs and shocks, but you'll need the GT6 calipers to fit the mounting points on those uprights.

The guy who provided the wishhbones is looking to see if he has the calipers.

You will also need the type 16 caliper rings as the calipers do not bolt directly to Vitesse/GT6 vertical links.
