Paul Amey Posted July 3, 2021 Report Posted July 3, 2021 I have a 2 litre Vitesse and am deciding what to do exhaust system wise. The standard manifold seems very heavy, but I am told the sports six branch manifold can be tight to fit. Does anyone have any experiance or thoughts on this please? Paul.
Pete Lewis Posted July 3, 2021 Report Posted July 3, 2021 a 63 1 can be a tight fit to the stg column the collector depends on design but often the expansion chnages makes the 3 -1 a slip joint which can plague you with exhaust blowing various fixes for that can be used tubular manifolds do ping and underbonnet is a good bit noisier than a cast maniflod a decent bore single has a better sound quality that the twins and you dont bottom out on bumps . pete
Iain T Posted July 3, 2021 Report Posted July 3, 2021 I have a Phoenix 631 and had to slightly move the rack over and put a small depression in one of the tubes in the manifold to get it to fit. It is very tight......but sounds great with a sports box. Iain

Pete Lewis Posted July 3, 2021 Report Posted July 3, 2021 think we coppied nicks idea to sove collector leaks sealers wont last
Paul Amey Posted July 12, 2021 Author Report Posted July 12, 2021 OK thanks for the reply's. Yes, I have seen a six branch manifold with a depression in it, presumably for fitting purposes. So, basically I think it's personal choice as to which system to use.
Pete Lewis Posted July 12, 2021 Report Posted July 12, 2021 stainless tube takes some battering to dimple a clearance tried that ended up jiggling the rack across a bit Pete
