Agreed! I had dealings (or rather, no dealings!) with the Standard 8 and 10 Club a while back, they stock or even buy rare spares (plus are often given a lot when members pass away) and they're sold to members only. I didn't see any point in spending nearly £40 to become a member of a Club where I didn't have the Club cars, but needed a part that was common to Heralds too, but either way benefits the Club - they get membership fees, or else sell only to those members who need the parts. Bill from Rarebits used to have limited runs of parts made, with most being sold out before production. Things like rear screen rubbers spring to mind.
